Sanctify By Truth
02/05/2024

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

John 17:17-20 KJV
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Still in the garden as Jesus prayed. Are you sanctify by the word of truth? God will takes his word of truth and sanctfy each believer with truth. His word of truth came in the flesh his name is Jesus. Just as God sent his Son, the disciples of Jesus are sent into the world. Jesus sanctifies himself by God's word. We must remember Jesus came flesh and his purity was from the begining. Jesus tempted by the devil. Yet the word and Spirit what Christ resisted the devil wirh because of who he was would not be alter by coming first as a baby growing into a man to men of our world.

Jesus in the flesh prayed for truth and not only truth for him but for his disciples. His desire for the disciples to know the reason he was suffering and dying according to the truth of prophesy as well is what happened. It takes all four Gospels for a clear precise picture to full form from the triuphal entry to the cross and resurrection.

Jesus did not just pray for the disciples but for those that would believe the testimony of his disciples. That is why one needs to pray the word of truth is open to others that one is ministering to as will as though that might share what you spoke about concerning Jesus, the Gospel of truth. Jesus is praying for this right before his betrayal.

John account does show "your will be done", speaking and praying to the Father in the garden, that other gospel's have recorded. Nor the temptation in his final hours before the arrest. Each disciple approach was different in the things they shared. Some stories wirh a broaded view on some things and some a narrow view. John account shows the desires of God and Jesus for the disciples he prayed for, including himself. We know what Jesus ask was the will of God the Father for not only his himself but those that would follow concerning sharing the Gospel message. If part of our salvation came from testimony of others, others will also be saved by your testimony.

Dear Heavenly Father, move in your children's hearts as well as those that desire to know you, in Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Colossians 1:5-6 KJV
5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
