Revival Begins With Examination 8/26/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisMatthew 7:1-5 KJV
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.Jesus talked about judging other, but he spoke also about examming that log that stuck in your own eye before you remove it out of your brother or sister's eye. The other day watching a nurse take blood out of her own arm for testing. Even my husband running squad had to learn both on himself and others. Reason one learns to draw their own arm of blood because it teaches you compassion and patients to withdraw blood on someone else. Of course this practice is never full proof.
When we learn to administer revival techniques on ourselves our compassion to talk about sin, forgiveness and God's grace can help other's know there is forgiveness because of God's grace as fallen upon you because of your own sin. Jesus commanded us not to judge but to love. To love someone in their sin but not their sin. To condemn the sin by not being a participant of their sin. Judging action and not the person.
People can get the wrong idea about good judgment. Judgment is not us bringing condemmation on a person. To say if a driver does'nt slow down he going to hit someone or wreck his car. Either way accident bound to happen. This is an observation and not neccessarily a bad judgment, but wise if you do not get in that car. The Man's wreckless actions caused the wreck. That is a wrong judgment. What caused the wreck is slick road because of ice and snow. Anyone driving would of wreck is judgment with compassion.
The truth is our judgment based on our own ability to do the same. Sin is an offense man stuggles with in their relationship with first God and then other people. If you lie to man did you also lie to God or only sin against God by choosing unholy action's to another. Your actions not representing who you are in Christ or as a child of God.
Next time you feel the need to judge ask yourself have you done this too? If you have what helped you to quit the sin. Are you willing to share your story with the person. If not say a prayer knowing Jesus is the solution for all. Grab hold of Jesus today.
Dear Heavenly Father help us to see our own log and remove it and help us with compassion to share Christ's grace abd forgiveness. On Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: 2 Corinthians 2:1-11 KJV
1 But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.
2 For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?
3 And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.
4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.
5 But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.
6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.
7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.
8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.
9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.
10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. http://www.turtle30cshell.com
