Genesis 20:1-18 KJV
1 And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.
2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife.
4 But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?
5 Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.
6 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
7 Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.
8 Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.
9 Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
10 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.
12 And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
13 And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.
14 And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.
15 And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
16 And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.
17 So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
18 For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.

Other righteous is there any without Christ. This story in Genesis implies there was a whole territory that believed and fear God and King Abimelech reign and ruled in that territory. Is Paul talking in Romans about others that were righteous based on Jewish history to the Roman church. The Roman church wrote were Christian believers. Even the devil believes and trembles but he is not faithful to God. Christian and true believers are faithful like the Centurion of the Italian Band whose name was Cornelius in Acts 10. There righteous people of God that may even worship different but Christ came to unite them. The way God began to do this is unite them first by his Spirit giving direction or knowledge by his Spirit concerning the Gospel of Christ. The knowledge Gospel and of the new covenant of every believer being marked by his Spirit(Hebrews 10). Did the of laws of God and Moses get destroyed, no they got fulfilled through the cross. Yet that mark of the Holy Spirit is only seen but by God and his angels. I say angels because they would double and triple marking if they did not see whose children were God's children. The mark of the Spirit and the mark of the angels are different. One is done by spiritual being not God but of God, before judgment begins on the world and mark of the Spirit happens at spiritual second birth. Both are marks of his doing and seen by his angels and the godhead.

At the time King Abimelech there were spiritual signs to God's people who someone was. Abraham was called a Prophet by God in this story to a king Abraham knew not but that he almost lost his wife too. He was given a choice land to live on bevause of the grave error by man. Abraham was truly an alien in a land not first his own. He was joint heir by righteousness as a child of God with the king and people of the land.

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
