Exodus 18:14-17 KJV
14 And when Moses' father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even?
15 And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God:
16 When they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between one and another, and I do make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.
17 And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.

One of the biggest curriculum in scripture is laws and judgments. From minister of faith to laws of land governed by men who are to be just in public decisions and upright but in reality behind the closed doors are people looking for the loop hole that will allow sin and breaking of the law. These men sit on petal stools making judgment call for people. Minister speaking for God and interupting scripture to define sin. In the Old Testament in the Exodus the law of God declared before God spoke the law himself to the people or before he wrote the laws himself on stone tablets for the people was being defined by Moses. Jethro his father in law gave godly advice prehaps on common practices of his culture verses the culture of Egypt, which Moses had lived. Quarrels between people to just general questions on sin. Judges were set up to control the flow of people that see Moses with the weight of lesser easy to understand situation falling 9n the elders of the family. The number of cases had become to big a burden for one man.

Begining of organization of God's laws were prior to Moses time period and only recorded when it came to judgment like on Cain, Sodom Gomorrah, coveting of another man's wife and so forth. The law between men beginning with Noah judgment on Canaan, the rape of Jacob daughter judgment carried by her brothers, and a decisions on a well in Genesis who owned it. Judgment recorded long before the Ten commandnents of God were written down by God and actually devlared ro the people. Organization of the law being created at the time of the wilderness.

Man needing to be justified by laws and not by God alone in ther heart. In Acts 5 we hear about the laws if Holy Spirit concerning lying to God and the church. God never stop his judgment on the earth. God wrotes his laws on the heart of man by the Holy Spirit. Man writes those laws down to say if God did it for me or to me watch out he judge it the same again.

The down fall is the law itself has no saving power. Only faith in Jesus only faith in God(Father, Son and Holy Spirit). Faith in Jesus, because of our inability to obey God, God sent us a redeemer because of his love for us. That through him both Jew and Gentile would be saved. The law was a gift from God to be a testimony of what he hope for each of us in our daily life as we walk this earth to live in harmony with him and mankind. The law could not save us into eternity that what faith is about. For we are justified by faith.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that your law is only testimony of you and your desire for our obedience that you want to see in our life. That our justification comes always by faith in Christ the redeemer that was to come, did come and will come again. Thank you Jesus. In Jesus precipus name, Amen.

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
