turtle30cshell Daily Devotions For September 11, 2023
Uriah Day
9/11/2023

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

2 Samuel 11:15-17 KJV
15 And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.
16 And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were.
17 And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.

911 issued a decree in our land that we were not only vulnerable but our government allowed our first responders and civilians to be in harms way. Americans got revenge on the House of Representatives with President Trump in power, before he left office. Showing people wanted what equality in voting, a voice and power within there nation. Many of sat at home wondering what would happen much like 911. First called to duty military that showed up and police officer. On 911 who first respond was fire fighters, rescue workers, police and civilians. Those knowing better then to get in the way fleed then be in harms way of those responding. No one could forsee the attack on the pentagon, airplane that went down by aid of those who fought terror on board to only die and the towers that fell. Five planes causing chaos, fear and grief. Bringing unity to those left behind, with first responders working night and day in horror situation. People memorized by the event.

Today is Uriah day because he was frontlines for the king, and did not back off his duties even with being called to the king. Who had him killed but his king and yet it was his duty to serve despite the position of war he was placed in. He visited not his wife Bathesheba taking no comforts of being in his hometown but sleeping at the palace on the floor. When sent back into battle the men around him were order to betray him so he be killed in battle, because the king wanted to steal his wife and his life.

The first responders, the frontline works are often the assessment workers. The one to take the first toxin, the first bullet and first look of what was happening on scene. Hopefully it not an attack on our nation. Every shooter and gun used to kill is causing a war, harm and death in our nation and putting first responders life on the line. The terrorist understand he not solving anything with weapon of war from planes to machine guns.

When word broke out that King David had done he lost part of the nation. It brought division and no doubt news that broke the story that government is aware of such attacks in our nation, which we loose the loyalty to our nation but not to the innocent people. Civilian and first responders are strong. Our leaders and terrorist need to know that.

Dear Heavenly Father keep us strong and faithful to the innocent of the world around us, knowing first responders need your protection and shield. Grant them your shield of faith teach them the value of trusting you on the frontline when the leaders and enemies fail. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: 1 Peter 5:6-11 KJV
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
