Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Exodus 11:1-10 KJV
1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether.
2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold.
3 And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.
4 And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:
5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.
8 And all these thy servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee: and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a great anger.
9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.
10 And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go out of his land.

The last warning cry before the final wrath of God is pour out on Egypts evil ways. We look at revenge and as believers say I am not worried, why? God segregates evil and sinful people from his fl8ck of people. We seen storms roll through our nation and some areas hit harder by death then others. We seen the pandemic of our era wipe through areas like never seen before. Death toll rose greater then any of our enemies on any peace loving societies could ever do. Yet God was still in controll. His protection was great on those that listened and obeyed our government in ways to protect oneself.

God made a covering for his people in this last plague through the sacrifice of the Pascal lamb and blood of the lamb being placed on the door post(Read the next chapter in Exodus). One offering for God, used for a feast for his people for their journey to come. They were to gather and borrow in this chapter all the gold and silver they could find. Know the gold would go with them in their journey.

To the Egyptian he said I am taking all your first born born male no matter if he royalty or a servant. God's people were protected. Segregation of those that would experience the judgment from those in the safety of God's protection.

When Christ returns we see the wrath poured out on childten of disobedience and his childten even walking through fire. Yet we also know a day will come when the sainta will rise first and be taken to meet him in the sky, while the heathen weep and wail and then the second resurrection occurs and death and hell are swallowed up in lake of fire they cast into, with no more chances to repent and follow Jesus.

One subject that continues in the wilderness is punishment on his children of disbedience. No one exempt from punishment. Some errors more deadly then others as far as immediate action. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life with Christ Jesus. We are saved by God's grace.

Dear Heavenly Father help us to take your warnings seriously. Knowing our choice to follow you or your enemy is clearly defined in scripture. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 6:23 KJV
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Ephesians 2:4-8 KJV
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
