The End Is Near 3/27/2023
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisMatthew 24:30-51 KJV
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The signs of the coming of Christ is obvious to our day and age, it obvious because the Gospel has been preached to the four corners of the globe and is still spreading. It obvious because of the storms we seen in recent days and even in recent years. The coming of Christ will be like the days of Noah. Do we not have the revival spirit in the air of our nations, Is not preaching occuring across the world. Through music, through evanglism, through love. In Matthew 24:31 that angels would come and "gather together his elect from the four winds from one side of heaven to the other". It not so coded to miss something here. Jesus was taken by soldiers in the garden. Days the mayrters were killed they were taken in the work place and in the open field. Taken by force taken to trial and taken to to death where they see Jesus. I was thinking on this the other day so much I remembered Steven preaching in the synagogue about Jesus, and he is taken out and stone and looks up to heaven and sees the Lord and speaks of it.
If you study scripture you can see several meanings within. Especially with other stories in scripture. Stephen before death he seen the Lord in the sky. No this was not the time of resurrection, this was not end times for the church, it was the beginning of the time of persecution of the church. There is point to this, when Stephen seen the Lord, time of persecution became more and more. It was something that came from the antichrist. That understood not that the Messiah had come. You think with the passover, the cross and the resurrection that enough would of seen Jesus, but we got to remember there were many areas in which Jews lived that may not of made a trip to Jerusalem for whatever reason, those would be the ones not only perhaps now in Jerusalem synagogues for time had passed, or the fact those that did understand where now Christian and technically outside the temple. Yet Paul a Jews by birth was able to preach in the synagogues obeying customs of his day though in some places he was persecuted like Stephen.
Many have felt the beginnings of Christian resentment in our land in public world. It okay to preach in churches, but it is the enemy in our land(antichrist called by many names) that resent us even prostyleting. It may not be heard but it exist. I thnk to not know it is time for even our own nation to wake up to this fact and any nation around the world that juggles freedom of faith as America has been accustom to for hundreds of years. Are we going to love.
How did I get to end times from persecution, topic that would be interesting to study is those that declare they seen Christ did persecution follow. If so what occured. What was the purpose of the vision, to give hope. It caused Saul to continue to persecute the church but to face blindness by Christ speaking to him himself about why he persecuted believers. Saul seent he Lord himself. Though Saul/Paul stopped persecuting the church and took up his own cross and face persecution, he knew the vision he had was enough to carry him in his journey of life.
When Christ fully comes every eye shall see him and every tongue will confess Jesus Christ is Lord to glory of God the Father. We know we be taken up into the air to meet Jesus. We know we hear the trumpet sound on the day of Christ return. We know that those left behind are fixing to face the judgment of Christ. It not the nanny nanny boo boo game, the reality of your lost love one is going to have to contend with the fiery furance of God brings a new meaning to Noah ark wrath and time is drawing near for Christ return.
No matter what may come we have a responsibility to share the gospel to preach it and keep preaching/teaching it tell the end of time. For the Lord expects from his children to continue to share not only his word but his love. And those that share his love are obeying Christ command to go into the world and make other disciples and they coming from all walks of life and from the highways and by ways, and under the hedge bushes and behind the trees. Seeking all that will hear the word of God and come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Time is short but when the door of salvation ends like in the day of Noah, the rest will know their hope is gone if they have not receive Jesus Christ as Lord. Those that Lord finds not doing will find themselves among the hyprocrits and heathens of the world. We have responsibility of when we follow Jesus to share his word with everyone. To take up the torch that tell the Gospel story. To be people that pass it on. As a believe in truth I do not even want to see my enemies left behind. Yet I know without faith in Christ they will be and yet I will share Christ with them as opportunity to do so arises. We all must do so. Pray for that open door to share the Gospel.
Dear Heavenly Father, help us to take up our cross and follow you, sharing your love your word and the hope you have to offer every one that will believe and obey your word. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Continual Scripture Study: Acts 7:51-60 KJV
51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,
58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.
59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
