Luke 8:1-18 KJV
1 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,
2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.
4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:
5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?
10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.
17 For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
18 Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have.

The first four sentence in this passage of scripture above is about the kingdom of God and the last 14 verse is a parable about the sowing of the Kingdom of God. There something to understand that just because you sow the seed of the kingdom it does not mean everyone that hears it will do it. Our nation's laws are sown through our nation to the people of our nation. Most people are law abiding. If they not law abiding they pay the fines, the tickets and jail sentence as part of their duty to the law. Occasionally you hear about two rogues that escape from prison for whatever reason, whether just to prove the system is not as secure or to prove that it still can be done. The law abider remains in his cell even if the outside door is wide open and the gate unlocked. In truth it someone willing to remain to keep from getting in future trouble though they may even be willing to aid the escapee in his escape. Why because despite the doer of the law, there is a little rebel in all of us that like to fly the coop and test the water of sin, despite the law. Some do by simple minor things but it still happens.

God's word handled by God's people passing it on to safe guard those that desire to be part of the family of God. Not exempt because of sin, but exempt because of unbelief. Is their a punishment in the kingdom of God in the church world, not persay, but God's correction often comes swiftly to the minimum of the heart. It like Tico(dog) getting into the garabage only to be scolded, his ears droop back knowing he was a bad dog, but he knew better for tearing out the garabage. Tico once scolded is now free to still roam in the palace with the garabage lid shut tight. For him to one day do it all over again. The sin did not change his status, what changed his status was he now smelled of trash and had to be cleansed. He had to have the sin of his mistake purged from his fur. Yet he was still part of the family, not kicked outside to roam in a world of uncertainty. God's throne room is the entire earth which is also his footstool. Yet his children run to and fro looking sometimes like devil and acting like devil's but in truth they need to be purged with the word of God and cleansed by saving blood of the lamb. Cost was the price paid on the cross by Jesus was done for our sins. Yet our actions are still corrected, and our soul still saved as a child of the King. The non believer still in the throne room with the evidence at hand. Without faith in the one that created the place for you and me. Those without faith and the word of God choose to dabble in the garabage instead of the refrige or the cupboard of faith.

In the first four verse that Bible says the women including the woman healed of seven demons followed Jesus and minister to his needs. Took care of the dinner meals and such out of their own means/or food source not asking Jesus for supply. They minister out of their substance. Not only to Jesus but the disciples and others as well. Jesus went preaching and doing the kingdom of God. Tico went about his own way, sinners are going about their own way, until they hear the word of God that is sown to them like a seed is sown by a sower. Now some seed will take root even in bad soil, but if in bad soil it will not survive long. If not in soil but among rocks it to might spring forth but nothing will be produced for long. Then the believer sow into good soil the word of God the other person is hungry not only for the truth of the word of God but desires to do the will of God, will also produce fruit and that fruit will sow seed for the kingdom also. A harvest yet to come, when God takes his people to the place Jesus has prepared for them.

Our sins on earth might take a person to jail, but our righteousness can not take us anywhere, but it does help others see the light of Christ. To see the hope of faith. Faith alone gives us security in our eternity. Our works are demonstration of whose child we are. For the word is in us producing with patience the fruit of God in others as well. The work of God is light that is not to be hiden, for eveything done is secret not going to be a secret for long.

Interesting thing about having two dogs, is both dogs follow each other. However gizzy does not seem to imitate Tico's bad behavior. Why I do not know, she is a dog, but a very good dog. Tico well when he gets into mischieve he definitely gets into things. He loving, and good but gets into everything. Even with the word of God, God's kids still get into alot o things they should not. Yet there some that never get into trouble or seem not too. Some are more seasoned which pleases God. When we learn to please God the work of the kingdom is less difficult because we do it for his glory, and his honor. We do also because to love is greater then hate. To obey God is to know the light of God's word is still shining forth.

Dear Heavenly Father, let us not just hear the word but be doers of the kingdom of God. Doers of the word of God and live with faith in the one that teaches us about his kingdom. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
