God's Love For Man
2/14/2023

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Luke 20:28-36 KJV
28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children.
30 And the second took her to wife, and he died childless.
31 And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died.
32 Last of all the woman died also.
33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife.
34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage:
35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

Those of us that are fortunate to fall in love more then once in a life time fail to realize that love is not unto eternity as we would hope it would. It might be the love of a earthly life time but it not into eternity. Does that sadden anyone seeking love of a life time. I hope not. If we were still under the Mosaic law of love, the woman's love would be for the man's family that the woman married into. She better get along with the whole family not just the one she married for she would one day perhaps be spouse of another brother if something happened to her husband. This law seems barbaric in our world. To think of having to hope the dad pledge your hand to family that would love the daughter even if their spouse died. Often weddings were decided by parents and not their children. Yet we think for a moment and we realize that the spouse is perhaps not loved either. It is in this situation a force decision to love. It is not the romantic union of friendship but going to bed with someone that maybe not be kind or gentle. What was expected of the woman would be to bear children and to care for the needs of her new family. That seems loveless, but many learn to love in those situations, because of upholding of the commitments in their marriage to each other. Much like a workplace environment. You learn to love people you might rather hate.

When we choose God's love, God compassion for man, we choosing an endless kind of love. A love for people that are called his children. He gave us a groom his Son to be married to even into heaven. We married unto Jesus by faith and not the marriage bed. Marriage to a commitment designed by God to have only faith involved. A marriage never given to be lovers, but to be like the angels in heaven, not given marriage but serving God the Father as children of God. We not married to someone we do not know, we learn to know Jesus through our faith. We know what he expects through our faith in him. We know his compassion for mankind. Our marriage through his son, causes the Holy Spirit to intercede not to just to God the Father but to our hearts as well the will of God because of his will.

Thinking of young love might remind you of all the emotions that young love brings to a young heart. The puppy love, the hope of that puppy love being more then just a romantic passing. The hope this one is the one. Girls not knowing whether to cross there legs or men not knowing how to stop their emotions that are to strong to even control, because of their lust of the eye being greater then their heart of love. Why speak of the emotion that can not be conrolled, we all been their if ever in love. Yet will love wait, will passion wait for true love to win.

What is true love but not desire but the long endurance of friendship that holds and last longer then most relationships of true love. It is the binding of two hearts that say we will be together til the end. That say we will endure through hardship, through good times and bad. We will celebrate our love, enjoy each other company and endure through the trying moments of enduring love. It says even in our anger we will push through and continue to love pass the odds of that love will not win and one still let's it win.

God's love is the enduring love for his people despite their sin, despite there short comings. Can you love despite the sin. Sometimes love absent for a time. Even turned away as Israel went into captivity though he was still with his people that believed and trust him in the shadows of death and captivity. With the love of the believers still intact despite the situation, God was able to bring his people back with gold and supplies. They did not return empty handed. God then would send his Son his promise heir to spiritual redeem the people, to enable to live in a land under the rule of another. To demonstrate his love was not by ritual acts but by faith in him. Trusting him to do more then we thought possible.

A marriage of faith not of desire but acceptance of who God is and the reality of who he is and who sent his Son to teach us how to live. Important step of faith, there is emotion involved but it is a decision not based on emotion that repentance and confession brings, but on the taking the hand of Jesus and saying I will follow you all the way home. Or on the emotion and elation of feeling acceptance of Christ, as he enters our hearts as we believe, making a clean sweep of our heart and removing the sin from within. It is the long endurance commitment of faith not the emotion.

Where are you today? Have you receive the eternal love of God for eternity, or are you still on the outside thinking about his love for you. What does he have to do to prove his love. He already sent his Son. The groom of the wedding of faith. That why there can be so many wives in his kingdom, because it not about the desires of the flesh, but the desire and hope of faith in the heart of belief. Well you receive him as your Lord and Savior today. Will you marry Jesus in faith today by asking him into your heart. Push the button on the how to be saved page, at both the top and bottom of the page if you want to know how to receive Jesus as Lord, there is a prayer there to help you through the process with some verses to take you through scripture as well.

Dear Heavenly Father, let us not forget the greatest love story of your redemption of your people for eternity through you Son Jesus Christ. Let our faith shine for him. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 5:1-5 KJV
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
