Old Testament Prophecy 12/07/2023
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisMalachi 3:1-6 KJV
1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.New Covenant still waits for some prophecy to happen from Old Testament. Yet the messenger can apply to the first coming of Christ in reference to baptism aa John announ ed who he i, until judgment is spoken about and then the reality it speaking totally of end times comes to mind as God sends his angel to announce his second coming with a sound of a trumpet.
Reason I reposting from the continual scripture from yesterday as well I had to finish somethings up today unrelated to devotion but I want to speak about announcement of God in general. The Holy Spirit announced with rushing wind a cloven tongues of fire in Acts. The announcement of not only Samson, John the Baptist but Jesus' birth as well came by angel. Are we listening for the trumpet sound of Christ coming sort of like dying in a wreck and seeing Jesus as the horn of a car coming head on. No that horn finite and regional this will be world wide announcement and not by a text but sound of the trumpet. This fore runner the world well know not just a star in the heavens and shepherds and the family of our Savior. Believers and none believers alike. Think on it.
Dear Heavenly Father give us knowledge of that forerunner horn blast sound at his coming. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study:
1 Corinthians 15:52 KJV
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Revelation 19:1-6 KJV
1 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
3 And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
4 And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
