Acts 2:1-4 KJV
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Day of Pentecost, there was a a sound from heaven as a rushing mighty wind and it filled the house. Every been in a house or even a business building and heard a train on the track and noise loud and the building even shaking a little then you kind of get the image of the day of Pentecost. All the disciples were in one accord in the place Jesus had commanded them to wait. A candle is used in Revelations to represent the church and the flame/star as symbol of the pastor of each church. Pastor being like an angel(ministering spirit). Ministers are to minister to the people. Revelations only record seven church and why when their are twelve apostles. Each apostle started different churches. As they were scatter churches would be built to honor Christ and to serve God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. James was behead before he had time to build a church is my thoughts on why only seven churches were built an established. Philip is seen as a evangelist not necessarily a church planter. Groups were being formed from about chapter five of Acts. Each group was forming into a church. On day of Pentecost the anointing of the Apostles and receiving of the Holy Spirit and the evidence of came by the speaking of other tongues. Now fishermen and no doubt those that collected taxes at the city gate like Matthew the publican,(there were actually three publicans that were disciples) all would of interacted with different languages. There knowledge of language perhaps was not the symbol of the Holy Spirit presents as much as the words that came forth from those languages. Most Charismatic and Pentecostal church do not teach about the Holy Spirit and the languages of that day being known languages. it gets lost in the celebration of the events that occurs. What would these languages been used for on the day of Pentecost to draw the crowd in many languages. and the language would of been given has the Holy Spirit gave the ability to speak to spread the word of the event and who Jesus was. It is the way in which the Spirit of God came upon the Apostles that made the event unusual. In the Old Testeament event of the seventy elders that began prophesying even two outside the camp as seventy men of God were annointed to share in the responsibility of leadership with Moses as judges before the people of God and to take on responsibility as leaders over the people.

Anointing of God is something that comes with responsibility not to be taken lightly it is for the purpose to teach his ways, his laws, and his word. To give utterance even in the form of prophesy or foretelling of events to come. There is an elation or joy that comes with the filling of the Holy Spirit often times, but not essential to have to be Holy Spirit filled. When one accepts Christ has Lord and Savior the Holy Spirit marks you as a child of God and his spirit comes and lives and communes with your Spirit in your heart. He does the cleaning you just rest and do what normal. Almost like watching a video and to critic the events with in to improve the situation or make adjustments to improve one's life. It is better with God's Spirit does that work then someone else, because someone else might not understand the full picture of the person's life. Yet God appoints ministers to watch out of the church world and the people of the world. It is His calling. Not a call one should ever take lightly and it is a position to allow the church world to be heard, protected and minister too. It is the sharing and preaching of the Gospel given to the person, to apostles, to the teachers and preachers though we all have the responsibility to carry the Gospels to people who do not know Christ.

The mission of the coming of the Holy Spirit to send forth the Apostles in spreading the Good news that the Kingdom of Heaven was at hand and need of repentance and remission sin through the cross and resurrection of Jesus. God was setting his apostles on fire for him.

Dear Heavenly Father, move the mountains of sin in our nation that have not understood who your Spirit is or his works in the lives of the believer. May your Spirit move in the heart of the church to teach to not just display Pentecost as a magical events, but a event to spread Jesus to the world in the languages of the known world at that time. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
