Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Psalm 23:1-6 KJV
1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

The girth we see between Old and New Testament is the difference of warriors in faith going forth is a stark contrast to the walk David seem to take in Psalms 23. When comparing the walk and reflecting on the believes walk seems far different, but in truth it is not. We all want that revival spirit of the New Testament church in our world today. If we could only remain completely on the mountaintop and never walk in the shadows of death we would. As a believe, we need to allow God to prepare a feast before our enemies. Enemies being anyone to try and stop spiritual growth. Where are we going in our walk with Christ on the revival road of restoration of people to the Lord.

The Lord being our Shepherd we shall not want. As sheep we lie down and rest in the open field. We drink from the water of life, he restores our soul. He does this in the presents of those in option to the Word of God.

Our cup runneth over as we drink from the water of endless life for we dwell in the house of the Lord forever. David knew where ever he went if his soul would desire the Lord he lacked nothing spiritual as a man annointed by the Holy Spirit. He was warrior as a king, but also a warrior of fairh as he walked with God over the mountains, through the valley, deserts and plains.

We can learn revival must begin in our own heart and soul, allowing God to heal our hearts, soul and mind as we travel the road that God has for us to travel on.

Dear Heavenly Father the contrast we see is also a stark reality the same need in our Spirit to be focus and feed by your Spirit as we follow in the pathways of Christ and you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: John 3:8 KJV
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
