John 14:22-31 KJV
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

We know little about this disciple but we hear his question, "how can you manifest your self to us and not unto the world?", speaking to Jesus. God loved us before we even knew him. Yet if a person loves God and keeps his word we know the Holy Spirit will come and live with him. Now Judas in the real world not in the world of speaking of spiritual things here as Jesus spoke about what would come to be. However the only example in history would be men like Moses, David, Daniel, and more that experience the work of the Holy Spirit in their life through the anointing of the Spirit or infilling of the Spirit.

Had the Holy Spirit left no, but some claim this and it is lie, but Jesus is teaching why? To educate that when he himself is gone someone else is coming to do his work. In John verse 28 God is greater then his Son. How can they be equal and yet one greater. There is only one God and Lord Jesus Christ. Yet they equal in power and authority. God the Father is greater for the purpose of knowing the time of Christ return alone. Jesus can not give you a return date from going to be with the Father, after the resurrection. God being great because Christ is the part of God authority called the word, without God there is no Word(Son). Is position in the Godhead bodily is to know things Christ and the Spirit can not or will not reveal to man. He has the key to lock many doors to man and his word. God's Word and Savior is the key that locks the door of heaven and hell and also opens it. Jesus is the working word of God on earth during his time as the Holy Word of God in the flesh.

Does He obey his own word, his he subject to his Word. Can He change his word? God's mercy allow his word to put on hold. God's grace allow his word to remain until the world becomes corrupt. Nineveh repentance allowed for mercy to be shown for that generation. Yet God's wrath would eventually come to Nineveh. God's wrath on man is coming again, but this time, it comes not by flood but by fire. His mercy will be on his children. Many people lost homes in the big tornadoes of this year. Lost it all, but they lost few lives to what could of been lost. During the pandemic many lost love ones and those that did not, was spared time of mourning. It did not mean God was revenging, because the pandemic was act of man not God.

Jesus was sent to change the world by his love, by his mercy and forgiveness for man. His mercy in the lives of Israel is demonstration of his love for his people. Yet upon continual disobedience, evil and corruption that continue to wage worse exile of his people happened, despite the worshippers of faith. God never forsook his people only the children of disobedience.

God grace came to believers in faith, came to Noah, to Abraham, Moses, David the children of Israel and all others outside of Israel camp that believe in God. Rahab the harlot who believed even found grace when she protect the Hebrew people, before her village was destroyed. God would loose point if is grace was not extended to all people. Meaning if he did not allow all to repent, but one group that believed what would be the point of repentance for any. His word would be consistent. His word would be the Savior of the world coming in human flesh as a testimony of the reality of his word to mankind. His word would come forth by his Spirit into the heart of man and breath life in man. All that wanted the hope of eternal life could have it if they first believed and loved him.

It takes alot to have faith, to know that God grace is giving you a portion of himself to teach you on a regular bases. Given to all believers not just one or two, but given to everyone that loves him. Many people fear God but do you love him in storm. Do you love him despite the storm. Do you get angry and feel you can't confess your anger, even David got angry with God and so did Job. It did not stop their love for God, but it did make them wonder what God was doing. It okay not to understand what God is doing in the heat battle, in the heat of the storm, in the times of unrest in our life. What we can count on his God's grace to see us and to comfort us by His Spirit in the storm and journey of our life. Some of this devotion information comes from studying it for so long, if you new it might not understand it completely, but one day if you keep reading you will.

Dear Heavenly Father, you grace is our comfort according to your word to all that believe and love you. Help us to love you and to hold to your word and salvation Jesus, who came in human flesh to demonstrate your love through your word. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
