Luke 23:54-56 KJV
54 And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on.
55 And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid.
56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

On Saturday after Good Friday, a day of preparation began as the women began to prepare spice and ointment for the burial and to rest on the Sabbath, not understanding God was fixing to build his church on Christ Jesus. Can I get an Amen. This morning as we look at what Sabbath meant for the world it meant a day of rest as God was preparing to raise Christ up to build his church on faith in him. David before he died, began to make preparation for the building of the temple and when his son Solomon took over the plans and material would be prepared for the Temple of God to be built. Had David ever seen the great Pyramids of Egypt where the tombs of Pharaoh's had been built during the Pharoah life time only to be buried within with all his possessions including with family and servants to be in the pyramid as well.

God was going to build the church of Christ, to build on the foundation of his word. To build on the faith of Christ Jesus his only begotten Son. Jesus laid in the tomb waiting for the Sabbath to end and early the next morning he rise up from the dead. On the very principal of faith and the solid rock of Christ Jesus would the church be built, but everyone is mourning Jesus at the present. Everyone is obeying the law according to the Sabbath. Those who had been trained by Jesus did not know they would begin the building on the cornerstone of Christ the next day as their faith would be awaken by Jesus. Jesus had prepared his disciples for his death and resurrection, and had prepared them to minister to other people.

How many hearts is God preparing to build his church in and to lay the foundation of faith in Christ in the very soul of man tonight, today and in the wee hours of the morning, yet no one has yet grasp Jesus would rise again, they were still in burial mode, to cleanse the body, and put spices on his body to help with the odor coming from the tomb, where a stone was rolled in front of the opening of the tomb to keep animals and graver robbers out. The women had not gotten to finish the burial do to the Sabbath day. Joseph of Arimathea only had the evening to put him in the tomb with Nicodemus with the women watching. The two men were scribes who ask to take care of the duty of taking care of body of Jesus. Time ran out and the woman would finish up on Sunday. Yet no one could do nothing on the Sabbath(Saturday). They had a whole day to prepare in their hearts and minds for what they must do for their friend and for Mary her son. who name was Jesus. They had no clue Jesus would began to build the church the next day, first with his own resurrection and then the resurrection of those he raised while still in the graveyard and those with his appearing. The woman and men sat quietly waiting in the upper room, never understanding what was about to happen to shake their world.

Well you be part of God's church. Will you be part of the family of God today. Will you wait and hope it not to late to become part of God's church through faith in Christ Jesus the Chief cornerstone of faith? 6 Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build an house for the LORD God of Israel.

15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
