Time Of No Combat

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Isaiah 2:1-5 KJV
1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

The time of no combat seems like a strange phenomon in our world of guns and amunition. In a world of rockets, and swords. A time of any sharp object is a weapon of war. After 911 people were not allowed to carry any sharp objects on planes including knitting needles were rumors that were told whether fact or fiction I do not know I do not fly in a plane. My take off from earth will be when Christ returns. However I do not knit but I do crochet and been known to carry needle and thread with me from time to time, but not of recent days. One it kept my fingers busy and my mind occupied in idle time in doctors office or waiting for someone to come out of a store. Yet the idea of peace seems far fetch until we understand that God will send Christ to the earth once more. The judgment of God will fill the earth with the rebuke of his word first. Then the new heaven and new earth the reign of God and his Son with no weapon of war will come. All believers will obey the truth of the word of God.

I do not think our obedience to God will be a debate it will be, it more of it going to happen as God says, not as our human understanding can fully grasp. It will not be by the power of man but the power of God that we will obey his voice. We live in a world right now of choices to obey God to seek the word of God or not to seek the word of God. Yet the word of God does flourish in the world, yet it is not so readily obeyed. Yet God's word makes perfect sense in our world even today. Our government wants to remove certain weaponry from people that should not own them. Mainly machine guns. Sometimes I wonder how many shooting are because of government and how many shootings are because of someone mental status. We as civilians will perhaps not know, but we know our govenment knows the answer. After the insurrection on capital we do not know if it was by individual radical group or lead by government leaders. There is a point as long as american laws claim our right to bear arms, there will be radicals that will miss use the right to bear arms, even if they a person is a weapon of war and learn physical combat maneuvers like martial arts. The human weapn of war can be equally killing as a machine gun.

There is a point no combat would mean no fighting, no argument, only peace and tranquility. Most of us despite our deposition of desire peace, we like also disagreement. Why because disagreement means that we not all the same. It is the one human designed by God that says man has free choice and it causes mankind not always to be in unity becaue we choose the opposite of obedience to God. However, God designed us to follow his laws and Christ word would rule our hearts, our minds and our very life. Most are not ready for that. However I believe God prepares our hearts to say yes Lord. Lord we desire peace not war. Israel heard the word of God read when they were rebuilding the wall and temple in Jerusalem. They heard the law and wept bitterly, because they see the truth of the word of God. I believe when Christ comes his word will be so enriched in the believers heart that the judgment of God will seem just to the believer despite the horror of God's wrath and judgment. I believe that when the word of God comes forth as the Messiah physical appearance comes the reality of God will be upon the none believer as the believer is risen to meet him in the air.

With the coming of Christ, the wrath of God is to follow. Our idea of God's wrath and his judgment is clear if we follow his word and obey it, If we believe first in who he is and who Christ is, we well be saved from the judgment to come. Noah never faced the judgment of God but was sheltered in the storm. He was aware of the judgment outside I believe, but he also knew God word came forth through the building of the ark, yet no one would listen. The word of God no longer flourishing in the land in Noah time. Yet in Christ time the word of God flourish and people came to the temple to worship God.

For me there has always been a division and a uniter between Jews and Christians, I believe that God of the Old Testament is still the God of the New Testament and HIs Son being the fullfillment in the New which the Jews receive not. The division being how the word of God is divided by not truth but by some that say the old has no value to the Christian believer and I always will believer it does. Though many things the believer of this generation does not adhere would be the sacrifical law of faith because we believe Christ died for all our sins and no more need for sacrifice, because of his resurrection. He being the great High Priest of his people. For some people it is greek, that why the book of Hebrew to read is profitable to read in comparison of Old To New Testament. Yet I believe also Noah story is profitable for us to understand Christ return, and that when Christ return it maybe like the time of Noah when the word does not flourish. As Islamics took the Temple, a third temple mount was then being search for for Israel to rebuild on their mount. This mount is in process right now of being built. This is what divides Israel from Christians, because we are the temple of God when we invite Christ into our hearts. Our need for a temple in Jerusalem is no more. And the antichrist, is growing in Israel with the building of these temples. Anti Christ meaning those not receive or maybe never will receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. People not to kill, but to ask God to help them learn about Jesus. People to educate about Jesus. Just as some group across the world receive many religions including our own nation in America. As a Christian anything in opposition ot Christ is the anti Christ. God's judgment is coming and Christ return is soon.

We can not be blind to the world around us, we need to hold to our faith, with tolerance of those different then us. If we want to be able to speak the word of God to the world. It is important not to revenge for persecution but allow God to destroy those who would and will be in opposition to his word. To love as Christ loved us and allow God's judgment to reign. God's judgment verse man judgment is truly very different. Man judge by the law of man, the law of govenment needs to make sure of that law, if it adheres to the word of God in love.

We know Christ's word flourishes in our land, we heard it echo across the land even in recents years, it need to continue for Christ is the true word of prophesy. In truth it will echo across the world whether we desire it or not so let be. and obey God and his word knowing the judgment is not for the saved but antichrist. To know we are saved by God's grace and not by anything we did. His power to redeem all souls is his power not ours. His power that will spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, both Old And New so the world can see who Christ is, as the prince of peace. His judgment coming to light to the believer and the salvation being known of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father, help your word to flourish in our land to grow the fruit of your Spirit in the hearts of your people. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Revelation 21:1-8 KJV
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
