The March Through The Gospels: Lesson 11 3/11/2022
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisJohn 4:1-2 KJV
1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John,
2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,)
Water baptism or Baptism unto a belief there is a God. What is difference in baptism of water and into faith. I really truly believe these two verse are talking about two types of baptism one of immersion in water and God's word, and the baptism that comes because of miracle, wonders and the word of truth. The baptism of faith is very clear, it comes with knowledge that there is a God, and continues into the learning about who he is and his desire for us to know him. Now what is baptism by miracles, you got a family of forty people, grandparents, parents, aunt, uncles and cousins, who knows this one person has injury for life, until one day they are healed, then that is a miracle and baptism unto faith. John was known to baptize with water, but Jesus baptized with miracles, wonders and parables. He did not need to dunk someone with water for them to believe in him and have people bow to him. It a deep thought, but a short one. That all for today, but it short, sweet and food for thought. Stilling of storms is only part of proof of who God is.
Dear Heavely Father, thank you for today, and your grace to stand knowing you are the miracle worker and stiller of the storms. That your power is proven and existence when we seek you help and you deliver, when nothing else was possible. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
