Inherit The Throne Of Glory 6/16/2022
Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris1 Samuel 2:1-10 KJV
1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.
2 There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.
4 The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.
5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.
6 The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
7 The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.
9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.
Hannah's praise to exalt God for the blessings of a son, who took her shame from her. What that means is women not having children were frowned upon. It maybe not even intentional, because you see even in today's society from time to time. Most care little if a woman has a baby or not. This thinking not radical but in reality is part of the religious world in which Hannah was dealing with, along with society laws. Pressures to have offspring. To carry on the family name, to perserve her and her husband's family line. When God blessed her by giving her a child she dedicated her son to the Lord, and gave him to Eli the Priest. She began to praise the Lord. The hope of heaven in verse 8 can only define what Hannah not only believes but knew about God as far as eternity. Knowing his Throne was not only eternal, but that she would inherit it one day. A woman's praise speaking volumes of what she understood about her Lord and his throne, and how God was glorified through the poor to set among the princes on God's throne.
Hope of faith given meaning with the knowledge of eternal life. The words concerning the knowledge of an eternity, through out scripture, but in the Old Testament that knowledge not hidden, but is not spoken of. In New Testament without Eternal life the very reason Jesus came to die for our sins would never have happened. A reason for the Savior coming beyond just to demonstrate how to live but bring his people to the saving knowledge of eternity through faith in his Son. Now stop there who the Son Jesus right, he more then Jesus but eternal before the flesh of Christ but the word. The word speaking of eternity, the word becoming flesh as Christ and then the word being prophesy concerning Christ return. God's word continually glorified through out the ages. Christ return's He will come as he left. That is the hope we hold too.
The hope through faith never ceased, his word being most precious, but to understand God's power through his word, and through the knowledge of the word. What brings people in low position up, but God. Let us not forget it. Let us say the rich are strong by their own merit for it is the downfall of the wealthy that believe their wealth is from their own hand.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for Hannah struggle and testimony that glorifies your throne. To life up your throne in heaven. Let this testimony only bring more understanding how old the knowledge of salvation truly is. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
