Heaven Sings Of The New Born King
12/19/2022

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Luke 2:8-14 KJV
8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

If man does not shout, God is going to send his servants, his angels, his ministers of voice to sing the praises of a new born king. I can only imagine the heavenly realm of the angels that night as they surrounded God's throne and watch from above the birth of baby Jesus, the Son of God. I can only imagine for a moment that God was not passing out cigars in tradition of men, but looking only as a Father would upon his new born Son. I can not imagine for a moment his joy of his gift to the world received in quiet submission of the new parents. Most would of shout the story from afar or held bragging rights of who their son was. Yet in quiet submission to the will of God, God had to send the declaration from the angels from far above the earthly realm to declare to the shepherds. In a few days we see God's creation also sang as the wise men chose to follow the star of the new born king. God's kingdom would declare from far above being carried far to those down below the news of this new born king.

As first angel came to the shepherds, startling them with fear, he told them not to be afraid for he was bring good news of great joy of the Savior birth. This Savior was to be found in a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes. Born in the city of David. Then more angels came singing and praising God with the message of peace and good will toward men. Man in silence of the night gazed at the angels words not knowing what it all truly meant.

No God was not passing out cigars he was passing out a flame of fire to cause investigation of what this was really all about. God was lighting the flame of the news to be spread on this holy night. God was sending his message of peace to the world in a language they understood. The shepherds believed in angels and new angels existed, but had anyone seen any, and why were they afraid. Afraid at the coming of the good news of the Messiah birth. No the fear was of seeing the angel and angels declaring the special event that night.

When end times come as we all wait for, the angel will sound the trumpet call, the Lord will make sure his people hear his call. Most of us can not imagine the sound of the trumpet or the call of Christ to come and gather his people for the final curtain call on the earth below. Yet we know as believers we wait for that day, that day of the earth's final current call. When our Savior beckon us upward to meet him in the air, as God's destruction comes to all that believe not. God first cry is of peace, the waving of the white flag so to speak. The call of saying no more war but peace between man and I. Yet God cry for peace is only heard by those that believe. Those that wait for the Savior birth. He sending a teacher to all mankind to teach the ways of peaces, the way of love, the way of joy, the way of hope and the way of truth. God coming into a world when the land is ruled by another and to people who hang on to their faith in God that he would send the Messiah of Virgin birth.

We wait in hope and believe when miracles and open doors come our way, and yet these miracles are not the sight of our King, but a product of his love for us coming to reality in our life. Yet do we hold to that same hope of Christ return. Do we need the angels to toot their horn for us to believe. That sound should be the all call like a fire alarm going off waiting to tell us it time to evacute the earth. It times to rise up and meet our Savior in the air. Yet we sit here at present or stand gazing upward wondering about all we know concerning his return, some with belief and others not without doubt. It might be like that coming of a gift given at Christmas not fully being expected and yet one knows the gift would be there that year.

Where are we in the throws of hope and inticipation, where we in the knowing and receiving of that knowing that Christ will come. He will come when others believe not. It is up to each of us to believe and hold to the hope of the trumpet sound to call us upward to be with our Savior Jesus Christ. The sound of the fire alarm only given at his coming. Let us hope we will not only know the sound but our faith has held us to the hope of his coming. Without that faith of his coming, we have not faith in the promise yet to come. Miss because one has not received faith In the Savior that he lives and will return again one day. Miss not because you do receive the hope of Christ return today, by receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and savior today. Just ask him into your heart, and follow his word today.

Dear Heavenly Father teach us and lead us in the hope of our salvation through Jesus Christ that our faith will carry us into heavenly gate and to the appearing of our Savior in the sky. Prepare your people for that final fire alarm. The warning sound it time to leave this earth behind and meet our Savior because all believers will be going there. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Isaiah 60:1-7 KJV
1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall shew forth the praises of the LORD.
7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
