For The Graduates of 2024
Christina Farris
6/01/2024

If i could explain why I thought school graduation was this month, it would be my growing up in areas that it snow with snowdays and school often got out in June and not May. There many changes in life besides weather. It the realizing when one graduates high school, college, higher education in an university or perhaps training in military, law enforcement and so on, your about to spread wings of no turning back. It's not that you cant return home but often is no longer your permanent one. In fact you are now on a journey if flight unknown to you but to many before. Discovery who you are and where you belong outside of friendships of childhood and for some college and classroom of future job of some sort.

The graduate might be ready to hit a homerun but in truth home is never same since you left and the comfort it all will be okay is most likely far from the truth. You are after all ready to take your adulting to the next level of a place to live, a job and seeking out new friendships without no more instruction beyond who you and that is an adult. You make the bed you lie in it or you leave it a mess. Your life is now filled with adult responsibility and the world is your oyster you thought but what no one ever said is you sprout wings to soar. It your life now or is it?

Life without God without Christ will not keep your feet from muddy and a rocky pathway. Follow Jesus without him, the world wants to take you skiing all down hill, and it doesn't care if you fly off the cliff because you failed to know how to ski and did'nt pack a parachuette to cushion the fall. Reality family may help set you for success and your friends, but reality is you are now responsible for all choices and falls you take.

Reality you need Jesus to be Lord of your life. Not to be bored but alive with Christ as you follow the Holy Spirit in decisions you make. God cares about your choices and decision you make as you walk and soar in the pathway of faith. There times of weakness and doubts but God will go with you through all of it. When you fall off a cliff, he will provide a ledge to land on. He will help you climb back up. When in doubt, sorrow, fear, confusion, dread, joy, hope, celebration, peace, ready to move forward and excitement turn to God. There bad times will never out weigh the good. The bad will turn to education by God's Spirit.

Sounds easy, Right, however there is a learning curve as an adult to consult God and His word. It takes faith in whatever time of life you are in. Yet with Jesus you know your way is guarded by his angels and the Holy Spirit when you give your heart first to Christ Jesus. I know the graduate is ready, whether they feel ready to soar and run with Christ. Those without Jesus is running with the crowd to a cliff of destructions despite you seem to be winning with a new home, job and car you really wanted. God's grace is sufficient for your entire life. The desires of life ever changing with passing of time. Christ never change. He can be the consistent force in your life.

Proverbs 3:1-8 KJV
1 My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

Vacation Bible School and Summer Camps
Christina Farris
6/01/2024

Your child is going on vacation without you this summer to camp, to summer school or even Vacation Bible School. One of the first things begin to pray for the teachers and workers involved in these activities. This is a time of spiritual warfare for our kids when they are beginning to decide what they believe about Jesus.

Two rules of thumbs of sending your children off make sure they are going to a reputable church and a reputable establishment. A place that will work hard to keep your children safe in a fun, loving and learning Christian situation. Make sure if it is a church it is with your standard beliefs. No place is safe but to keep little one's safe, teenagers where they are suppose to be is essential to young people's learning and growing in the things of God in good clean Christian fellowship.

If they got an adult class for VBS why not go you just might learn something too. Vacation Bible School is usually for everyone. There always need for extra hands with the kids, even if you not the main teacher. It can be fun to watch kids learn or help serving refreshments.

Beaches and Vacationing
by Christina Farris 6/01/2024

Have you thought of where you like to go to church while on vacation. Is it in a building or having a devotional time with your family while on a picnic table or the beach. Maybe a hotel room before you eat breakfast, or dinner. It is time for many people to start their vacationing, whether at home or away, remember the good Lord got you through this year so take him with you as you travel. Don't leave Jesus out of your vacation or your home. There is a saying Jesus take the wheel, but when you do make sure your hand are in the hand's of Christ as you travel the road. Remember are you really in that big of a hurry to get somewhere then plan ahead and don't speed to the destination spot. You may be in God's hands but he wants you to arrive safely and secure. Just because your safe remember the driver next to you might not be.
