Chanukah, a Jewish Holy Day between the Old Testament and New Testament, after the Maccabean war, when the Holy Spirit kept the lamps burning though there was not enough to keep the lamps burning a testament to the people that God was with them.

Blessed Christmas Advent

As my little town is finished putting up the lights and decoration, they have once again moved the Nativity scene, this time no longer hiden behind the grassy bank of the Sander's house it is now located at the town fountain and absent from the town square where it once was, enabling the little town to reflect not just on commercialism of Christmas but Christ in Christmas. Christ being absents from any downtown Christmas celebration. It sad enough that people shorten the spelling of Christmas to xmas, Cmas and just mas, never considering the importance of leaving Christ in the spelling of Christmas.

As one goes about locally remember to smile and say Merry Christmas. May the joyful words that Jesus Christ is born be reflected in our town and around the world. May we keep Christ in Christmas. Let us continue to spread the reason to keep Christ in Christmas.

May you have a blessed Christmas

Lights Of Christmas
by Christina Farris
12/04/2023

Many light a candle for a love one. Precious thoughts of memories of someone special to the heart. The dead can no longer light the earth except in memory, a gift that does not seem to end. Jesus is not just memory but living Savior in the world today in the heart of each believer in him and his eternal hope.

Let the love of Christ not only shine in our hearts but as we light a candle for ourselves and share it with another as a reminder we alone is only a little light but with many lights it a beautiful display of the light of Christ that shines outward in each believer as we share his love.

Come be apart of the light of Christ by letting your light shine for Jesus. Ask Jesus to be your Savior today.
