Give if you got it to give to help kids as they return to school that needs material (Most of us know what is to be without a pencil for the day). 3. Enjoy the end of summer months as the sun begins to go back into its own hibernation for fall and winter. 4. Do outdoor activity you most likely will not do in winter. 5. Find a book to read or pick out a new song. 6. Buy a new outfit for school or work. 7. Do some redecorating before the weather gets to cold to keep windows and doors open. 8. Help a friend or neighbor. 9. Take time to share with a significant other about what God is teaching you as you study his word. 10. Enjoy and evening out or a picnic in a park.

School Back In Session by Christina Farris 8/12/2023 In the next few weeks and even early September children, teens, young adults and even some older adults will be flooding the school house to get a education, to learn to and to grow. Learning being a very important part of life whether in the school house or the education of hard knocks in the business world. Which ever you choose you will be learning for a reason. Hopefully it for a good job, to provide for a future for yourself and your family. We start off in school with little steps and work our way to the giant stairs of the universities and colleges of our land, if not there hopeful vocational schools, or apprenticeships for job training.
The moment you join the family of God you just enlisted in the biggest school organization called the Holy Spirit. It had no walls in which to learn in but you may find yourself in a building, in the middle of the ocean, along a beach, in the woods, or in the middle of a crowd. This school is long term not just a week or too. If you read many characters where old when God ask key question of them. Think long and hard before you answer God to quick an answer, one will surely sooner or later put their foot in their mouth. Think about what he truly asking or saying. God is teaching even with his question, on about themselves and about what they truly believe concerning who he is as well. 1 John 2:27 KJV 27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. | Prayers For Those In Wake Of Storms and Disasters by Christina Farris 8/12/2023Pray for victims and their families in Maui Hawaii. I sure there other places but this storm was a bit unusual with fire, water and wind. Prayer for those aiding in disaster relief. There many place that been hit by disasters over our land that still facing recovery. Prayer that God mercy will abide in those going through the tragedies of life and bring them hope and reassurance that a God still cares and loves them, despite the storm. He not always the cause of the storms we face like Elijah on Mount Horeb, but he is there ready with open arms to receive and help a person in the storm and to speak to us, when we ready to listen and to cry out to him. May God mercy and grace reign as recovery efforts are taking place. Pray in the power of Jesus name, Amen.

God Back In School by Christina Farris 8/12/2023 Keep God's word in school. It will always have a place there whether you recognize it or not. The first schools in America read the Bible daily. They did not have the same type of trouble in school as they do today, but what made the difference was people fear and reverenced the word of God many years ago. They also said the pledge of allegiance to the flag without fear of a student beside them desiring to set that same flag on fire, or ripping it from the flag pole. The flag was a sacred symbol of human rights including freedom of religion. Instilling the word of God must come with the truth of God in the hearts of the children. It time we teach them the word so that the word will live through them that do believe. It does not mean you have to be preachy, but you demonstrate the love of God while holding to the values of God through out life. There is many things believers can do with none believers. Help God fearing students to reach out to others, and it might even give God fearing Parents the opportunity to share Christ with another adult that may or may not know Jesus. Might find fellowship or someone that needs Jesus. For the college kids who knows who you might lead to Christ it might even be the next president, senator, business man, fast food employee and so forth. Share Christ it maybe the one influential person in our world that will lead the masses to Jesus. |
