Flowers In May by Christina Farris 5/01/2017With as much rain that has come with April hopefully it means good planting season for May and June. I garden is a part time hobby and a necessity of life for me. Yet it is also a joy to feel the dirt between the fingers of God's good earth. Those that love gardening know what I mean unless they use gloves. The fruit of the first veggies begin to come it reminds me of the gifts of God's Spirit that comes in a believers life from the conversion of faith to the onward journey toward Christ. |
Mother's Day by Christina Farris 5/1/2015Mother's day is a special to think of all mothers not just your own. Yet the most special mother is the one that cares for you and loved you from the first day she saw you and felt you in her womb. Mother's are special for they are the first to know your hunger, and the first to feel you kick. The first to know the flutter as you bounce off her body. She first to dream to dream of all your hopes to come. To worry about you on days you fail to move. Mothers know the hope of life within her.God knew you before you were ever born. God created mother's to know what He knows about that infant as it forms. |
Hitting
A Home Run by
turtle 2005Watcing a ten year old hit hs first home run is exciting. Especially, when no ne believed he could do it. The pitcher throws the ball and he swings and misses. Then the pitcher throws the ball again and he miss a second time. People begin to call the kid names, begins to say he really doesnt' have it. He is a phoney bolgnie. Then he chokes up on that bat again. And gets ready to swing. The pitcher throws the ball for the last time. And bingo it is a hit.Smack leaving the ball going across the field, up and over the wall. That how we Christians feel when we know we hit that home run for God. We feel that that home run is what it is all about. Sometimes we are like the first to swats, but when we find our aim, we hit it all the way home. Standing for Jesus the author and finisher of my faith. poem in inspiration section. |
Religious Freedom by
Christina Farris 5/5/2017
Religious Freedom of the USA, includes religious freedom of all groups. How does that effect Christianity is the simple fact that we must learn to accept people of different views, not in agreement of faith, but of being different then ourselves.Tolerance keeps peace. Intolerance causes destruction of society. We can wage war or peace, but what we fail to realize the battle is never ours it is of God. God can bring down the walls of unbelief in Jesus by education, by signs and wonders, and by hope. Yet if we fail to pray first and fail to use God's weapons of war called not with weapons of war, but weapons of the Holy Spirit, through prophesy, prayer, and education, we fail to keep peace and fail to do the work of Christ. Christ never drew a weapon, though he encourage his disciples to carry a sword. Let us keep peace and allow God to fight the battle of faith, by us first yield and saying Lord use me to share your love, hope and faith in Christ Jesus.President Trumps Executive Order Concerning Free Speech And Religious Liberty This is the written version of this proclamation.https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2017/05/04/presidential-executive-order-promoting-free-speech-and-religious-liberty |

by Christina Farris 5/1/2015 To the graduating Class of 2017, May God grant you the wisdom as you travel the road of life. A road not always paved in gold or even gravel. Yet it is a road non the less. Try new things, find out about the world you are in. The most of all consider walking the road of peace and mercy with all people to achieve not greatness but human decency that the world desperately needs. May you put God and Christ before you has you travel the next road in life. Do not forget the good things taught and put the evil behind you.
Proverbs 3:4-8 KJV (4) So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. (5) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (7) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. (8) It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. |

The National Day Of Prayer is the one day our nation comes before the Lord in humbleness. Though many groups pray there only one God to pray to, who is the God and Creator of us all. |
National Nurses and Teachers Week by Christina Farris 5/1/2015The most thankless job is being a Nurse or a Teacher, each job requires patience of dealing with people that are not always cooperative, not always willing to listen and learn, or even give a smile. Yet nurses are special people that know almost as much as the doctor. Yet cares for the personal needs of each and every patient. Teachers often care beyond what is required. Giving children pencils and papter that have none. Going that extra mile to make a student smile. The teacher encourages the student to be all that he or she can be. Yet the teacher like the nurse can not as the old saying goes lead their horse to water and make it drink. Remember your nurses and/or teacher this week. Remember to say extra prayer. Happy Nurses and Teachers Week!! |
Memorial Day 2017 by Christina Farris 5/20/2015As another Memorial Day Weekend comes and goes.Let us remember it not just a weekend for families but a weekend to remember those that passed on because of war, terror, and the enemy caring little about peace, but how to destroy. Fire fighters, police, military, governmental agency that fight against the wars of horror.Yet with ever prevention, it can not replace any life lost to any horror our nation faces quietly or outloud. May this Memorial Day remembrance remind you to keep the continual hope of freedom in our land and abroad, and the strive for peace with each other despite our disagreements, to produce peace and not war. |
