Coming live from turtle30cshell I am your host Christina Farris. Today is August 28, 2016. Today I will be talking about what Jesus wants us to do when He does something for us. The title of the message is:

Go Tell Of Christ's Compassion

Mark 5:1-21 KJV is the scripture passage for today.
(1) And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
(2) And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
(3) Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
(4) Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
(5) And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
(6) But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
(7) And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
(8) For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
(9) And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
(10) And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
(11) Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
(12) And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
(13) And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
(14) And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
(15) And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
(16) And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
(17) And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.
(18) And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
(19) Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
(20) And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
(21) And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.

The one thing that disturbed me about this story is that Christ allowed the demons to destroy a herd of pigs. Two thousand pigs is a lot of pigs. First of all, Jews did not eat pork because of dietary laws and second demons asked to be allowed to go into those pigs. The herdsmen of the pigs went and told the city what had happened and they came out to see the man formally possessed by demons sitting in his right mind fully dressed. Now if one thinks about it these pigs was a food source to the gentile people. Jesus was in country of Gentiles. What a feast the town was fixing to have, but Jesus and his disciples would not be in attendance. Of course it does not mention a feast, but something had to happen to so many pigs that had run into the sea. The sea even salted the pork for them. Oh yes that a theory of what happened to the pigs. I often wonder why Jesus allowed the pigs to go into the sea, and that the best solution I could come up with to my dilenma.

Jesus would heal the man possessed by demons only for the town to ask Jesus to depart from them, because they were in fear of Jesus. The man that had been possessed would beg Jesus to allow him to go with him, but Jesus encouraged him to stay and tell of the great compassion shown to him. When Jesus passed by that way again even the other side knew about Jesus and he was welcomed among the people. The man that had been possessed became a runner for Jesus. His job only to tell his story of Christ's compassion. How he healed him from the demons that caused him to harm himself and run at night naked among the tombs. Yet upon seeing Jesus the man ran to get close and fell and worshipped Jesus. The demons control him, and it was demon that brought the man to feet of Jesus. Even the devils must bow to Jesus.

The man that had been possessed had a story to tell how even the devils that tormented him had to bow to Jesus and obey him. The love and compassion of Jesus had deliverd him from many demons for the name of the demons was Legion because they were many demons. What a story that would be told to surrounding villages. Because of the telling Jesus would be able to minister to those in Decapolis across from where the man lived that had been possessed. Compassion of Jesus to free people from the devil. A gift of God and miracle. One would have to believe it was possible, but there are things not explained even by medical science, but what is known is this man was in his right mind once more. Our job as believers is to share the love of Christ and what He has done for us. To share the compassion of our healer of our soul, heart and mind. Jesus save one's soul when a person ask him into their heart and receive His truth. Upon doing that very thing go and share the great thing of Christ has done for you by saving your soul from hell and life of torment because of sin. Jesus paid the price for our sins by dying on the cross for you and me and rose to victory on the third day. Can you receive that truth today?
