By turtle
Labor Day a day to take time off and reflex on the accomplishments of your work as well as enjoy picnics in the park or back yard. The first Labor Day was on September 5, 1882 in New York city where American’s celebrated with a parade and a speech in Union Square. No one knows who original suggested it but it was declared by Oregon a legal holiday in 1887 but in 1894 by Congress of the United States it became a legal holiday. A time for family friends, sports, parades and more. Kind of a summer last holiday event. Kind of a time to celebrate with family and friends of a job will done. Let us not forget Labor Day. Though often today people still work on this holiday, it is usually an extra day that weekend or that week off for many workers. Remember all Federal agency will be closed on Monday.
